Testimonial from Allisa

I'm writing this letter in regards to help and assistance that I received from Julie. She was kind enough to answer my questions and concerns via email in regards to applying for Social Security Disability. I was at a point where I thought it would be best for me to apply for assistance and Julie certainly helped me with how to go about doing that. She has a vast amount of knowledge regarding the rules for SSDI. She was extremely helpful to me in gathering all the information that I needed. There were times when I felt I was the biggest pest with all the emails that I sent her, but she was very friendly and very thorough in answering my questions.

Thanks to Julie I was able to navigate the SSDI process without giving up or completely losing my mind. She helped me every step of the way, from the time I was only considering applying, to the time I got approved. Julie not only helped by sharing her knowledge about the SSDI application process, but also was always willing to lend an ear when I just needed to vent about my frustrations with the whole process! Julie spent a ton of time and effort to help me, whether is was requesting my medical records, filling out my infection and medication logs, or answering my late-night emails. Julie does all of this out of the goodness of her heart and asks for absolutely nothing in return. I truly feel that without Julie's help I would not have been approved the first time I applied. I cannot thank her enough for what she has done for me. I don't know what I would have done without DAFCF!

Julie has spent hours assisting me with my specific disability situation and provided me with a "SSDI Go By" and an "Activity Log" and an "Infection Log" that I was able to utilize for my own disability claim.

I followed her advice and recommendations, which were based on the Social Security Administrations impairment listings and after 3 denials and one hearing in front of a judge, I was finally granted my disability check.

Julie has offered her services to me free of charge, as she does for all other members in the Cystic Fibrosis Community.

The help I received from Julie Raysbrook and DAFCF was so unbelievable. I was denied coverage by my health insurance carrier for a visit to the emergency room and I handed the reigns over to Julie. She is the real deal. I thought for sure I was going to have to pay the bill, and having Julie help me in my case was just a shot in the dark for me. But little did I know... I guess I didn't realize who I was dealing with. Within 6 weeks she had the insurance company wrapped around her finger and paying my claim in full. All I had to do was sign a piece of paper appointing her as my representative on the case and that was it. When she called me with the news that we won the case, I was blown out of the water and speechless. I am so proud of her for what she did for me and I can only imagine the results she has produced for others. Thank you Julie and DAFCF! Without you people like me would just be getting pushed around by big industries like the healthcare industry. Thanks for fighting for the little man.

Hello Julie, I just wanted to thank you again for helping me out with my SSI case. A few days ago I received a phone call and was told that I had been medically and financially approved. I'm getting the full amount. The information that you provided was invaluable, and I'm sure it made all the difference. I was able to present my health situation the right way the first time. Thanks! :)

Testimonial from Jennifer

I am a 36 year old woman with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) who has gotten great information and help from Julie in regards to disability and the experiences she went through with her husband Mark, who also has Cystic Fibrosis.

It is very common for a person to have to go out on disability if they have Cystic Fibrosis and with that comes a lot of jumping through hoops to get the disability program. Julie offered me a bunch of insight as to how to go about it, what to gather in terms of information social security might need and what her experiences was with it for her husband Mark. She is constantly helping so many people on the CF Forum with questions they might have about medical needs of CF people and also her experience with the disability program.

Her information really helped me to know what to expect when I applied for disability and she really is always a good wealth of knowledge. The CF forum is a place where people who have CF or caregivers of people with CF can go and talk to people about an array of topics. She has always had some great information and input to a variety of subjects on the cystic fibrosis forum.

Testimonial from Jessica

In May 2005, my fiance, Richard Allen Glenn, was critically ill with cystic fibrosis and relocated from New York to North Carolina seeking a lung transplant. Since he had changed states, he had to apply for Social Security disability again, and Julie was invaluable in helping us research what he needed to compile for his case. She spent about two hours of her time going over the various listing impairments that the social Security Administration requires to consider him "disabled", e-mailed the documents he'd need, and provided sample log books, such as "activity logs" and "infection logs" to help him strengthen his case.

Richard died in November, 2005- he simply ran out of time- but although he's not here to write this letter himself, I'm sure he'd emphasize how Julie's assistance and advice saved us much time and frustration. Thanks in large part to Julie's help, he was able to secure SSDI benefits quickly, which allowed us to focus on other important matters related to relocation and transplant.

Julie's considerable knowledge of cystic fibrosis, and research on everything related to the topic, have been of great help to countless CF families.

I just wanted to let everyone know what an amazing organization this is! Julie has helped us out tremendously in getting my disability benefits. She was quick to answer any questions we had and even personally helped me collect all of my medical records to use as my medical history logs. She knows what needs to be said when dealing with the social security administrators and gives her all in helping out with your case. My husband and I cannot thank her and her organization enough. It is such a relief to know that we can enjoy our life with our new daughter and not have to be constantly worrying about our financial stresses due to Cystic Fibrosis!

Testimonial from Sonia

Julie was so helpful when trying to navigate the social security disability system. She gave me so much support and encouragement. She helped me get my disability package together and answered many questions I had. She was gracious and candid with her experiences with the system and gave me great insight (and hope) for my own case. I highly recommend correspondence with Julie and the DAFCF site if/when you decide to apply for disability benefits. Thank you, Julie!
